To Import a File Through MicroStation

Select File > Import > Exchange File Types > IGES.
In Import IGES dialog, select the desired file that you want to import and click Open.
The file is imported. By default, a file is imported into the Geometry window in the baseCS, generally at the same location as the host file's global coordinate system.
